use this handy checklist to count up an exact tally of just how unoriginal the person yr arguing with is! feel free to add yr own
1. Queer can be reclaimed by members of the lgbt+ community to refer to themselves and others who are comfortable with the word.
2. That’s the acronym…I don’t think there’s a plus sign after the p though
3. That’s the definition of straight
4. ???
5. When ace people come forward with their personal encounters of aphobia, you don’t call that a sob story. Especially if there is rape/abuse involved.
6. ??? I’ve never seen that happen.
7. Minors cannot be held to the same standards as adults
8-11. ???
12. That’s what allosexual means…
13. There are many bi/trans people who believe aces are lgbt+ and I really doubt they are tokenizing themselves
14. There’s not many studies on acephobia considering asexuality is not very well known, so that study will be widely used since there are no other studies (that I am aware of)
15. Trans people are often the ones making the comparison to TERFs
16-17. We live in a homophobic society that leads to many people being unaware of their homophobia. Getting rid of homophobia in the ace community is something that should be worked on considering the number of gay/lesbian aces.
